Five Little Leprechauns Song & Felt Board / Flannel Board

Story: A husband finds five leprechauns while he's out and brings them home. He leaves them in the care of his spouse, when all of a sudden they start "disappearing" one by one. Humorous story/song is great for ages 3-9 years old and perfect for home or school use. The activity works well when accompanied by the guitar, played with the Five Little Leprechauns song by Peter Apel, or simply by chanting or singing the lyrics.

This song was written by songwriter/performer Peter Apel to use in his preschool programs.  It can be used as a great flannel board activity, or the kids themselves can play the parts of the leprechauns.  Give five children leprechaun hats.  Each time a leprechaun "disappears," the children are instructed in turn to "sneak" back to their seats, leaving the hat behind.  Kid's love this song as well as the activity.
